About ANIRTAK-05 Media
At ANIRTAK-05 Media, we specialize in using Engagement and Edutainment strategies to connect with targeted audiences in powerful and meaningful ways. Our approach blends research, creativity, and cultural awareness to spark action, build understanding, and strengthen community bonds.
Engagement means taking the time to understand the communities we serve. We research deeply into local history, education, economics, ethics, and the environment. We also study race and gender voting trends to help shape strategies that are inclusive and effective.
Edutainment means we use the energy and creativity of the entertainment industry to teach, inspire, and connect. By personalizing every presentation to fit our audience, we create experiences that are not only informative but also enjoyable and memorable.
We understand the importance of safety and flexibility, especially since the COVID era changed how communities interact. That’s why our phone banking and canvassing strategies are designed to adapt — offering outreach that connects schools, churches, small businesses, community partners, and government agencies in two-way communication that truly makes a difference.
What We’ve Accomplished
Since our founding, ANIRTAK-05 has played a meaningful role in civic engagement and community recovery efforts across New Orleans and beyond.
In April 2006, following Hurricane Katrina, we helped facilitate the city’s first post-Katrina election. Out of 298,512 registered voters, 200,197 participated. Our team traveled across the country to reconnect displaced families, create a massive cell phone bank, and provide vital information and services for recovery.
That same year, we purchased the historic State Palace Theater and renamed it ANIRTAK, which is Katrina spelled backward. Through that venue, we produced a series of charitable concerts supporting the New Orleans Fire Department, EMS, NOPD, Common Ground, and local neighborhood health clinics.
Between 2019 and 2020, we helped register over 2,100 new voters in the metro area during the presidential election.
In 2021, our canvassing efforts expanded across major parts of New Orleans — including the West Bank, New Orleans East, Century City, Uptown, Gert Town, and Hollygrove. We personally contacted over 29,000 voters, helping to achieve a 13% increase in turnout on Election Day, December 11, 2021.
ANIRTAK-05 Media continues to serve as a bridge between communities, organizations, and policymakers. Our mission is to educate, engage, and empower — helping every voice in the community to be heard, respected, and represented.
